Residential - Sandbanks
This particular job was located at a property in Sandbanks, Poole. We first of all placed down felt and battened the roof using a Roofshield breathable membrane and treated battened.
The slates used on this particular job were Spanish Siga 39’s which were fixed using slate hooks and/or copper nails. We then dressed and welded a bespoke lead barrel using and cured the lead using patination oil.
The centre of the roof drops down into an Alwitra single ply flat roof and sky lantern to allow maximum sunlight to penetrate throughout the property.
The Specialist Team individually cut each slate twice on the curved part of the roof to allow a smooth and even roll which looks great
We used Marley modern hip tiles and a 90-degree ridge along with a dry ridge and hip system to allow the roof to breathe and minimise condensation.
After the main roof was completed, we then proceeded to cover the garage in to finish the whole job.
